Environment Concept Design

Emily Carr University of Art & design

Teen Spring Break Art Camp

Dates: March 13 - 17, 2023

Environment Concept Art is about visualizing the indoor and outdoor spaces that make up the fictional worlds of a wide range of media, from graphic novels to video games. In this course, you will apply worldbuilding principles to illustration as you consider the style, aesthetic, size and setting of an imaginary world. You will learn to use lighting, composition, perspective, colour theory, and design techniques to illustrate your vision. Apply the skills you learn in this course to a variety of creative disciplines, including animation, filmmaking, game design, graphic novel, and illustration.
