Meet in the garden to draw a variety of flora outside this summer.
Demonstrations will be executed at various locations at the garden. Pencil drawing to capture the essence of the plant, using watercolour to match the myriad of colours in simple washes.
Bring your own supplies, a small light chair that you can carry around. A travel set of watercolour paints and waterbrushes. Dress for the weather, if it rains, the class may need to be postponed until the following week.
Methods and techniques will include the following: Gesture and contour line; Structural lines; Scale and proportion; Negative and positive space; Mixing and matching colour to your studies.
