Methods and techniques will include the following:

  • Accurate representation of plants using gesture and contour line drawing methods.

  • Explore the structure of plants through observational analysis making drawn notes of plant posture, angles and space.

  • Learn simple colour theory to advance the skill of mixing and matching colour to your studies.

Demonstrations will be executed at various locations in the garden or conservatory. Pencil drawing to capture the essence of the plant, then adding watercolour to match the myriad of colours in simple washes.
